Getting Sound Results For The BBC

What was the challenge?

In an effort to reach younger audiences between 16 to 21, the BBC recently launched the BBC Sounds app and approached Fanbyes to help drive awareness and installs to the service.

What was the plan?

We activated lifestyle and student influencers on Snapchat and Instagram who authentically described why and where they used the app. 100% of the influencers were already familiar with the BBC Sounds app and were able to authentically tell their story which was key to the success of the campaign. Influencers then told their fans to swipe up to download the app as a strong call to action.

What was the result?

Given the organic way influencers promoted the app, it resonated massively with the audience resulting in a 5.1% CTR which was 3x higher than other paid social.
